Requirements:
Education: Successful completion of a full course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a Bachelor’s Degree, preferably with a major in Logistics, Engineering, Business Management, or a related discipline, is required. DAU Level III certification in Life Cycle Logistics, or the civilian equivalent, is preferred.
General Experience: Eight (8) years of general experience and four (4) years of experience in a program office or similar organization
Specialized Knowledge and Skills: Expert knowledge of DoD acquisition logistics management and the current Joint logistics practices employed within the JPEO-CBD Enterprise
Job Duties:
Serve as a logistician, providing all acquisition logistics support functions (i.e., planning, development, implementation, and management of support concepts and strategies) for programs within the JPEO-CBD portfolio. Using performance-based logistics, plan and develop effective product support strategies, ensuring they meet established goals for operational effectiveness and readiness. Manage, as required, review and comment on Contractor technical manuals, validation efforts, provisioning data, training packages, and other logistics-related deliverables. Determine level of maintenance, review system parts lists, and make recommendations on the table of allowance.
In addition, perform other tasks including, but not limited to, the following:
a. Lead the IPT on all multi-service support issues
b. Lead the Government team during Contractor logistics support review sessions
c. Monitor supportability requirements in relation to the established requirements for cost, schedule and performance
d. Ensure integration of all support elements to maximize system deployability, supportability and mobility
e. Develop fielding plans and logistics demonstration plans, and coordinate them with stakeholders
