The Clinical Support Technician assists in specimen collection, monitoring of laboratory specimens, clerical duties, and receptionist duties. In addition, the Clinical Support Technician is responsible for processing specimens going to reference laboratories,generating computer reports, acting as a liaison to customers, participating in inventory control, and performing specified laboratory tests.
Essential Duties:
* Collect, process, and preserve blood and other body fluid samples for analysis.
* Perform routine laboratory tests in a variety of laboratory settings.
* Operate laboratory equipment and instruments, performing preventive and corrective maintenance as required.
* Identify factors that affect procedures, instruments, and results, and take appropriate corrective action.
* Perform mathematical functions as required by laboratory procedures.
* Practice laboratory safety and regulatory compliance.
* Perform information processing functions in the clinical laboratory.
* Apply laboratory results to diagnosis and treatment of clinical conditions and/or diseases.
* Possess working knowledge of Medical Terminology.
* Communicate with colleagues and patients in a professional manner.
Education:
* Must have a high school diploma or equivalent diploma (GED).
Experience:
* Previous Phlebotomy experience is required.

Description:
The SAIC Health Solutions Business Unit (HSBU) has an opening for a clinical Research Psychiatrist, contingent upon contract award, to support the Neurotrauma and Psychological Health Project Management Office, US Army Medical Materiel Development Activity, Ft Detrick.
The Research Psychiatrist will be responsible for providing wide ranging objectives, advice and consultation for the development of multi-center clinical trials to evaluate FDA approved drugs for additional indications for the treatment of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing senior level advice to the government related to the strategy, formulation, development and implementation for complex multi-center clinical trials for the treatment of Neurotrauma and Post traumatic Stress Disorders. The applicant must have knowledge and experience in the planning and implementation of FDA-approved clinical trials. The successful applicant will not be responsible for the direct treatment of any patients but will rather serve as a SME during the development and approval process for candidate products and associated clinical trials. The applicant will coordinate / manage the activities of multiple clinical research teams at multiple clinical trials sites. This person will primarily deal with each on-site Principal Investigator / Project Manager (usually also a physician) to coordinate the overall research program in terms of cost, schedule and performance. This will require critical negotiations between multiple Human Research Approval Boards and the persuasion of customers to compromise between various factions. The applicant will also be responsible for ensuring that the multiple clinical trial sites remain on budget and schedule and that they maintain FDA compliance with all protocol requirements.
Qualifications:
The successful applicant will also have a background and training in the DoD medical product development requirements.
Required Education and Skills: a M.D. degree, including internship and residency (Psychiatry), Board certification in Psychiatry, a current medical license and at least 2 years of clinical research experience. The successful applicant will have experience in the diagnosis and treatment of Traumatic Brain Injury and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, experience with the planning and conduct of multi-site clinical trials for various drugs as well as FDA experience in the development of INDs and product development. Individuals must possess the ability to work as a member of a team. Individuals must display a high degree of professionalism have excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as the ability to prioritize multiple tasks. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance are required. Desired Experience / Skills: In addition to the M.D. degree, further DoD certification in Acquisition Program Management is considered a plus.

Desired Prior Sales Experience:
. We re looking for true hunters, with a proven ability to build and manage a pipeline of sales prospects from initial contact to closure;
. A minimum of 5 years experience selling in either the energy industry, service industry, or experience selling to industrial and/or commercial clients;
. Experience and knowledge from working within Energy Industry is a must;
. Proven track record of being successful in all elements of a consultative sales role:
o Lead generation
o Persistence in follow up of leads and movement of prospects through the sales cycle
o Interfacing and presenting to senior officers at Fortune 500 companies
o Negotiating agreements with prospects
o Effective closure rate with prospects
o Prior experience working with sales cycles lasting 6 months or longer
Strong closing ability; past experience closing $100,000+ deals
Other Requirements:
. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
. Computer literate in a Microsoft Office environment (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook)
. Some travel required to support sales activity (approximately 10%)
. Bachelors degree required
