Network Support Engineer

**ROLE TITLE:** **network Support Engineer**

**LOCATION:** **Phoenix Arizona**


The P&P Engineer is a 100% customer facing role based on customer premise.


+ Monitor and action all incident cases in Expedio and Service Now.

+ Log all troubleshooting steps and statistics in the appropriate ticketing system.

+ Have advanced troubleshooting skills including intrusive circuit testing with telco vendors. Have advanced knowledge of BGP and additional routing protocols. Telephony troubleshooting and complex delivery design knowledge required.

+ Perform on-call duty on a rotation basis.

+ Join technical bridge calls within 15 minutes to trouble-shoot critical outages.

+ Plan, schedule, and implement network maintenance's that include firmware upgrades and hardware replacement.

+ Provide feedback to management on ways to increase efficiency.

+ Attend a customer facing Daily Network call and provide a network event outage report.

+ Provide customer outage notifications and updates.

+ Attend Problem Management meetings to provide root cause and remedial actions.

**Qualifications** :

+ 1 year of customer service experience.

+ 2 years of working on large-scale service provider networks.

+ Demonstrated organization and time management skills.

+ Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.

+ Ability to work with little or no direct supervision.

+ Ability to recognize and prioritize critical tasks independently.

**Skills/Experience** :

Network protocols/technologies : Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS), Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), IPv4/6, Multiple Spanning Tree (MST)/ Per VLAN Spanning Tree (PVST).

Certifications: Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP).

Network hardware: Cisco 6XXX or 76XX series L3 switches, Juniper MX or other series routers, Cisco Nexus and Catalyst switching hardware; F5 or other load-balancing hardware is desired.
