Sr Engineering Logistics Specialist II

The Life Cycle Engineering department is looking for a Senior Engineering Logistics Specialist II to contribute to a fast paced innovative team and work closely with the Whole Life Systems Engineering (WLSE) Functional Management and Program Leadership to develop and implement strategic goals, influence system thinking solutions, facilitate forward thinking initiatives to include streamlining and integrating processes, incorporate "best-in-class" and reliable Logistics Management solutions for customer and enterprise initiatives. The ideal candidate has strong influential communication and leadership skills, with the ability to develop solutions to problems of unusual complexity that require a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovation. This position requires the ability to assist with the development and sustainment of Army, Navy, and Air Force Technical Manuals IAW with MIL-STD 40051, MIL-DTL 97929, MIL-PRF-38807, and MIL-STD-38784; assist with the development, sustainment, and training conduct supporting our various programs. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of the training of military systems, knowledge of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) processes and knowledge of the LOGSA/ISEA requirements for the ILS documents as well as strong English grammar skills, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work overtime as required to meet contractual deadlines. This position requires the ability to multi-task in a high energy environment. The selected candidate will interface daily with various levels of management, and external customers to discuss all the ILS elements. In addition, candidate must be able to manage multiple deadlines and priorities within specified time frames. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment. Required Skills: US Citizenship Minimum 6 years' experience working with DOD weapons systems Experience in the MIL-STD-40051 and/or S1000D standard for Technical Manuals Experience working with LOGSA/ISEA in the ILS/Technical Publications arena Experience in Government Training and Instruction (TRADOC) Experience working with engineering drawings and Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) Desired Skills: 10+ preferred years' experience working with DOD weapons systems Ability to understand, identify, communicate and mitigate risks and identify opportunities Detail oriented Strong commitment to quality Experience leading project teams Good verbal communication skills Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills Good organizational skills by setting priorities and working within deadlines Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills Active DOD Secret clearance Required Education (including Major): Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts in Supply Chain, Logistics, Organizational Management or other related degree Clearance Type : Ability to obtain "Secret" level clearance; Existing "Secret" level clearance preferred This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. Security clearance factors include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the US, foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and drug involvement.
