Sr Financial Analyst

The Internal Control Excellence team, which is a part of Raytheon Missile Systems (MS) Accounting organization in Tucson, AZ, is seeking a motivated and experienced individual to perform tasks that include: Coordinating and conducting internal control audits to validate the effectiveness of controls over financial reporting for MS to ensure those controls are functioning as intended, Participating on a Corporate-wide team to continually assess and improve key controls and self-assessment processes that assure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley regulations, while balancing the cost to the business for the benefit it receives, Documenting control deficiencies and working with other functional areas to redesign controls that are effective and that resolve findings, Interacting with Corporate Internal Audit and external auditors during their reviews to assess Company controls and self-assessment processes, Performing special reviews under the direction of the Controller, to assess the broader internal control environment, and Coordinating the ongoing assessments of compliance with RTN's Anti-corruption Sustainment Program. The selected individual will work closely with other functional organizations, offsite locations and Finance leadership to ensure compliance with Raytheon policies. This position provides an excellent opportunity for networking with other MS organizations, other Raytheon Business Units and the Corporate Office. The ICE team shares the organization structure with Technical Accounting, Project Setup, and EAC compliance and will allow for cross-training opportunities in these areas. Our department is involved in many matters that impact policies and business processes, and set the design of our financial controls. The ideal individual is expected to work independently and ensure overall objectives and goals of the organization are achieved. Basic Qualifications: The ideal candidate must be able to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a challenging, fast-paced, deadline driven environment. They must also demonstrate an ability to be accountable through individual actions and teamwork, continually working toward the goal of improving processes and efficiency. Minimum Required Skills: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or other Business discipline with minimum 4 years of Finance/Accounting or relevant experience or MBA and 2 years of experience Knowledge of the financial control requirements of the Sarbanes-Oxley regulations Experience in developing, auditing and/or assessing financial controls Strong understanding of financial accounting processes and requirements Ability to work in a matrix environment with a great deal of autonomy Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong analytical skills Computer software skills including MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) Highly Desired Skills include: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or other relevant professional licenses Background in defense accounting with experience in a financial discipline within that environment Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Parts 30 and 31 Accounting/Finance experience in multiple disciplines (e.g., program finance, functional-area finance, rates & budgets, material accounting, labor accounting, direct accounting, and overhead accounting) Familiarity with Raytheon polices, financial processes and key controls Experience with SAP/R3 Raytheon Six Sigma Specialist 115341
