Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
Provides personal care and homemaking services under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Licensure, Registration, Certifications:
Home Health Aide (HHA) certification from the Oklahoma State Department of Health. Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider from an approved American Heart Association training program or CPR for the Professional Rescuer from the American Red Cross.
Education:
High school graduate or equivalent. Completion of an accredited Home Health Aide training program.
Experience:
None required. Prefer one-year experience in a health care setting.
Qualifications and Skills:
Demonstrated basic skills in reading, writing and math. Must possess basic courtesy and communication skills. Must possess a valid driver\''s license, auto liability insurance for the vehicle being used. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of assigned patients. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient\''s status and be able to interpret appropriate information needed to identify patient requirements relative to his or her age-specific needs.
