Must be a Professional Engineer in the State of MN.
Minimum of 4 years experience in grading, drainage, site work, H&H, mining tailings design, and landfill design.
Familiarity with landfill rules, NPDES permitting, roadway design and Mn/DOT specifications, SpecText.
Experience with AutoCAD Civil3D, MSProject, MSExcel, MSWord.
NPDES/Construction Permit Design and Site Supervisor Certification; 40-hour Hazwoper Training.

The I&E Division of URS is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Civil/Environmental Engineer for immediate employment in the Minneapolis office. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in Environmental Engineering and Water Resources, specific to containment design, and impoundment and landfill permitting and design. The incumbent can look forward to projects including landfill design and construction oversight, impoundment design for surface water management and industry facilities, studies and improvements for water resources projects.
Incumbent Responsibilities:
. Organizes and conducts engineering investigations and planning work which has a well-defined scope
. Permits and designs surface water, groundwater management systems.
. Designs leachate and landfill gas management systems.
. Designs roadways and facility improvements.
. Researches feasibility of alternative design approaches, site conditions and regulatory agency specifications, evaluates staging and grading alternatives and selects most efficient, least costly.
. Performs construction oversight and management.
. Performs liner CQA oversight and documentation.
