Purpose:
Responsible for installation, testing, analyzing, maintaining, repairing and training on Bosch Pharmaceutical products at customer sites. Provide customers with excellent technical customer service and ensure complete satisfaction. This position has a direct and significant impact on maintaining our customer base as well as growing new business for Bosch Packaging Services. Provide updates and modifications to machine control software at customer sites and training customers on use and maintenance of equipment. Provide field service repairs, training and installations as scheduled by Field Service department. Train customers on proper operation, maintenance and safety rules of customer equipment. Assist production with final machine testing and checkout. Coordinate development activities and upgrades related to updating and improving machine functionality. Support all aspects of operating controls systems, equipment and machinery. Provide support to customers, Customer Service and Sales, as required. Interact with Sales Managers/Project Managers on customer equipment needs/concerns and/or updates. Participate in training in order to maintain technical expertise and proficiency on applicable/new equipment and applications through internal training. Process expense and detailed trip reports on all service orders, in a timely fashion.
Essential Functions:
#PackagingMachinery degree (two-year) or commensurate work-related experience. Electrical Engineering degree preferred. #Minimum of five years in the Pharmaceutical Packaging Industry, desired, installing and troubleshooting PLC and motion control software and hardware. Prior work experience in repair/maintenance of capital equipment or electronics, such as servo drives, HMI's and programmable controllers. May be required to live in a specific geographic area to better serve a customer base. Travel required is aprx 75%, light weekend work required. German-speaking skills a plus. Required: Ability to support various software control platforms for complete packaging lines. Proficiency in operating controls systems of equipment (Allen Bradley, Siemens, PLC, PMAC, etc.). Demonstrated advanced mechanical, electrical and software skills. Strong P.C. skills Strong written and oral skills Ability to manage time and work independently Preferred: Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of personnel, from production to management.
