Job Description
The Informatics Specialist (IS) II provides leadership, consultation, and direction on the use of the Electronic Medical record that impacts clinical information management from planning through full adoption. With clinical experience to supporting the functions of the EMR, the IS will understand and apply workflow expertise to support their clinical group. The IS is an expert in the design and use of informatics solutions that support the vision and mission of Mayo Clinic. The IS serves as a bridge between providers, nursing, other clinic departments and organizational groups, linking clinical practice, technology, and information management to enhance patient care.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in healthcare field required, Medical laboratory Technologist, Radiology Technologist, Respiratory Care, Health Information Management, or recognized degree in healthcare field + minimum of 3 years experience in healthcare.

. Ability to develop effective working relationships throughout the organization.
. Demonstrated computer literacy with strong knowledge of software applications.
. Experience in training or teaching others.
. Strong project leadership, organizational and planning skills.
. Ability to communicate effectively (written and oral).

Schedule Details:Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm.
