Personal Care Attendant

New Perspective Senior Living is seeking a Personal Care Attendant. New Perspective Senior Living owns and operates assisted living, memory care, and independent living communities throughout the Midwest (MN, WI, IL, and ND).
The Personal Care Attendant (actual title is Caregiver) is responsible for providing the highest degree of quality care and services to the residents and their families. The Caregiver will provide hands on care, physical and emotional support as outlined in the Service Plan/Care Plan while maintaining a safe and comfortable home-like environment. The Resident Assistant is responsible for demonstrating the Mission and the Values of New Perspective Senior Living and promotes the highest degree of quality care and services to the residents.
Essential Responsibilities:
Works with Mission and Values in mind first
Complies with the Team Member Pledge
Maintains an excellent attendance record
Effectively punches in and out each day with no exceptions
Demonstrates a high level of safety in all work practices
Complies with the company uniform policy
Reads and documents in all communication logs and informs the nurse when needed
Effectively completes incident reports per company policy
Champions resident care:
Assistance with feeding
Honors personhood by reading and knowing the Residents Life Stories
Champions communication to families of residents
Actively involved in the life enrichment program
Is compliant with company training requirements
High School diploma or GED
In order to perform this job successfully, the individual most be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
Must be at least 18 years of age
Previous experience working with seniors preferred and desire to serve and care for seniors
