**Career That Change Lives**
The **Principal Reimbursement Analyst** develops delivers Structural Heart and Cardiac Surgery reimbursement, policy and health economic data and tools to MDT Business Unit/country reimbursement/health economic staff to enable execution of reimbursement and health economic strategies for key therapies globally. The individual acts as a business partner to the cross functional leaders and staff within the Structural Heart and Cardiac Surgery Business Units and key global partners.
This role partners in the development and implementation of reimbursement strategies and programs to obtain coverage, coding and payment from payer/providers; provides strategic reimbursement planning for key product areas and new indications and reimbursement-related advice to product development teams, marketing, regulatory, clinical and business leaders; identifies payer opportunities and issues and implement programs to resolve/decrease barriers to entry for the company's products or therapies; evaluates the economic impact of the use of therapies/products on payers; provides support for reimbursement policy efforts; and partners with Field-focused organizations to ensure that coverage, coding and payment information is made accessible to our customers and the Field teams while maintaining compliance standards.
**A Day in the Life**
+ Facilitate patient access to SH therapies globally, by collaborating with cross-functional teams and initiatives on new product development, clinical trial support, product launches, and reimbursement submissions
+ Review and assess payer strategies for continued and expanded therapy coverage globally, in partnership with global partners
+ Partner with industry stakeholders, physician societies to develop coding, coverage and payment infrastructure for new and existing therapies
+ Develop resources and conduct physician and customer training and education on reimbursement
+ Analyze claims and economic data for tool creation, market intelligence and evidence strategy
+ Maintain expertise in coding, coverage and payment as well as US payer procedures and reports
+ Travel requirements not expected to exceed 10% unless located outside MN, in which case additional travel expected for quarterly team meetings and meetings with colleagues.
+ Identifies payer opportunities and issues and implements programs to resolve/decrease barriers to entry for the company's products or therapies.
+ Works closely with Health Economics and Outcomes Research staff to evaluate the economic impact of the use of therapies/products on payers, including the government.
+ May create training and deliver education programs to sales force, physicians, home care agencies, case managers, hospital CFO's, medical directors, billing personnel, and pharmacists in clinics and hospitals.
**Must Have; Minimum Requirements**
+ Bachelor's Degree
+ Minimum 7 years healthcare work experience including 3+ years device industry or pharmaceutical industry strategic reimbursement planning/policy experience with a BA degree
+ Knowledgeable of HCPCS/CPT and ICD-10 coding
+ Knowledgeable of Medicare and US commercial payers
+ Understanding of and experience with health economic methods, including cost-effectiveness analyses
+ Demonstrated influence management skills and ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization
+ Effective verbal and written communication skills and effective presentation skills
**Nice to Have**
+ Advanced degree in health policy, health services research, economics, biostatistics, epidemiology, public administration, clinical research or a related discipline
+ Knowledge of global reimbursement systems
+ Skilled with creating analytical tools
+ 5+ years device industry or pharmaceutical industry clinical trial experience, payer and hospital health care economics and reimbursement
+ Demonstrated ability to strategically apply technical knowledge to a variety of business situations and to translate across various functional groups
+ Strong project management and prioritization skills
