The Novus Suite Architecture is the backbone to many of our online products: providing a highly scalable, enterprise class, search and information retrieval platform. As a member of the Novus development team, you will have an opportunity to apply and develop your skill set in technical design, programming, and problem solving of complex and challenging technical problems in order to provide solutions for our business partners. This progressive position will provide you opportunities to collaborate with highly skilled peers in developing innovative technical solutions. The position applies industry standard requirements and design practices with modern programming languages such as Core Java , C/C and enterprise database technologies such as Oracle and DB2 .
Primary Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with a team of highly skilled developers and architects on new ideas and solutions.
* Apply industry standard techniques to capture and document software requirements and design specifications.
* Develop software enhancements to our Search and Retrieval platform adhering to software requirements and design specifications.
* Participate in proof of concept" implementations of projects where the technical solution is unknown or unproven.
* Assist in resolving technical support issues.
* Assist in identifying and correcting software performance bottlenecks.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science or related field OR equivalent experience
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Strong collaboration skills
* Excellent problem solving skills
* Self learner and self directed
* Experience or course work in the following technologies:
* Core Java Server side development
* C/C development
* Development leveraging Oracle or DB2 database technologies
* Master's degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred but not required.
