Job Summary:To provide care to patients in accordance with departmental guidelines, maintain patient education programs and provide education and role modeling to the residents.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:Knowledge of professional theory and practice to provide patient care. Knowledge of appropriate medical equipment and instruments to provide patient care. Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment. Skill in identifying problems and recommending solutions. Skill in written and verbal communications. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, employees, physicians, and the public. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Participates in continuing education, IE, workshops, conferences.
Education:Graduate of an approved nursing school and completion of recognized nurse practitioner program in Family Medicine.
Experience:Preferably one or more years experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
License/Certification/Registration:Current Pennsylvania Nurse Practitioner license. Needs to maintain RN and CRNP licensure and ANA certification.
