Job Summary
The Inpatient Services Associate is responsible for patient related clerical activities, unit clerical duties, computerized order entry procedures, and other unit activities, as applicable. The Inpatient Services Associate must be able to provide and understand the specific communication needs of the patients, families, and visitors. Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, the Inpatient Services Associate provides focused non-licensed clinical care for, phlebotomy, basic nursing skill, etc., and environmental assistance for all age groups (adolescents, adults, and newborns) to facilitate quality service and improve patient outcomes. The Inpatient Services Associate will document and communicate with team members in a timely manner the patient progress, needs and problems. Collaborates with Leadership in developing and implementing the Village Hospital Culture, Mission, and Goals.
Job Requirements
High school graduate or equivalent. Completion of a Unit Secretary course with certification or on the job training as a Unit Secretary in a health care facility with supporting documentation. Graduate Nurse or Certificate from an approved multi skill technician program or deemed competent by the nursing education department or completion of 1st semester of Nursing Clinicals. BLS. Phlebotomy certificate preferred. Hospital experience preferred.
