Job Description
Ensures the proper operation and maintenance of all utility systems. Keeps all utility areas clean and free of debris or clutter. Takes corrective action and repairs equipment as necessary; notifies appropriate personnel as needed. Provides appropriate notification and maintains documentation of all work performed. Performs general maintenance, installation and repairs on mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, plumbing, and other systems within a GMP manufacturing facility. Handles assigned work orders. Maintains inventory to ensure adequate parts and supplies are on hand. Completes purchase requisitions for equipment and parts as needed. Adheres to all company SOPs, procedures, policies and federal safety procedures/regulations in the operations of these facilities.
Required Skills
Good mechanical and electrical aptitude and good manual dexterity. Ability to analyze and diagnose mechanical/electrical problems. Knowledge of GMP and ISO regulations required. Ability to read blue prints. Basic computer skills. Written and verbal communication skills in English. Overtime or shift work may be required. Ability to lift and carry heavy objects. Florida Licensure as a Plumbing, Electrical or Refrigeration Technician required.
Required Experience
High school diploma or equivalent plus two years of technical or vocational training. Three to six years general maintenance and/or construction experience required; pharmaceutical/medical devices industry experience preferred. Experience with mechanical systems including WFI, boilers, stills, chillers, air compressors, and pump motors.
