Title: Rad Tech Cardiovascular - Inpatient Cath Lab
Location: United States-Kansas-Wichita-Wesley Medical Center

* Provides direct patient care for Cardiovascular procedures and device implantation
* Ensures that pre-procedural planning and preparation for procedural intervention are individualized to meet the needs of each patient and his/her physician
* Prepares the procedure suite/clinical areas, supplies and equipment to ensure safety for patients and personnel

Assists with the care of the patient in collaboration with the patient care procedure team
*
Completes appropriate documentation for each study performed
*
Demonstrates knowledge of Universal protocols
*
Uses professional judgment and critical thinking when performing procedures
*
Contributes to the professional development of peers/colleagues, and others
*
Collaborates with the patient, significant others and health care providers in providing and advocating for patient care
* Required Registration, Licensure or Certification
* Current registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
* Current certification as a Radiologic Technologist by the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts
* Current Basic Life Support (BLS) verification course, as specified in policy
* Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) verification course within allotted time frame, as specified in policy
* Required Education or Experience
* Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
* Preferred Education or Experience

Six months previous experience in a cardiovascular lab
*
Required Knowledge and Skills

Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, verbally and written
*
Basic computer skills
*
Demonstrated critical-thinking skills
